Spring League Grade 6/7 Boys

The GW Hoops Spring League is designed for Grade 6/7 boys who want to stay active, continue developing their skills, and compete in a safe, fun, and structured environment throughout the spring season.

This program combines weekly gameplay with intentional skill development, giving athletes consistent court time while building confidence, basketball IQ, and strong team habits. Sessions are led by experienced GW Hoops coaches in a positive, inclusive setting that supports athletes of varying experience levels.

Program Schedule

Scrimmage Night

  • Wednesdays: 4:30pm – 6:00pm

  • Location: Canyon Falls Middle School

Skill Development

  • Thursdays: 4:15pm – 5:30pm

  • Location: Trinity Baptist Church

Program Dates

  • April 22 – June 24

Program Fees

  • $300 – for athletes who already own a GW jersey

  • $340 – includes a GW jersey

What to expect from the GW spring League?

Is your young athlete ready to embark on an exciting basketball journey filled with skills development, teamwork, and pure fun? Our Winter League is the perfect blend of learning and gameplay, designed to foster a love for the game while honing essential basketball skills.

What Sets Our Program Apart:

  1. Fundamentals First: Our league prioritizes skill development. Expert coaches will work with each player to refine their dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive skills. Whether your child is a beginner or has some court experience, we’re dedicated to elevating their game to the next level.

  2. Professional Coaching: Our experienced coaches bring a wealth of basketball knowledge and a passion for teaching. From strategic plays to individualized feedback, your child will benefit from top-notch coaching that nurtures their talent and love for the game. All of our coaches have began their certification journey through Basketball BC and Canada Basketball, with the majority of coaches earning their Learn-To-Train (L2T) or Train-To-Train (T2T) Coaching Certificate.

  3. Inclusive and Competitive: The league is designed to be both inclusive and competitive. Every player gets a chance to shine, and the league atmosphere encourages healthy competition, pushing players to improve their skills while enjoying the game.

How Does It Work?

  • Each week, athletes will meet for 1-2x sessions (age division dependant)

  • Sessions will be broken down into 50% fundamentals and 50% games

  • Divisions with > 24 registrations will compete in a 4x4 league with set teams

  • Divisions with < 24 registrations will focus on playing 3x3 games and full-court scrimmages during their practices
